AdriaWealth is a 3-day convention held in Bari, Itlay that took place last week. AdriaWealth seeks to improve and enhance the development of cultural institutions, primarily theaters. Project partners from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and the host country Italy, participated in the project of promotion for cultural heritage and tourism at the conference.
Among the Croatian representatives were Goran Golovko, quartermaster of the Split National Theatre, Teresa Begovic Gudelj and Marjan Dumanić from the public institution RERA SD for coordination and development SDŽ, Mladen Krnić, a journalist for Slobodna Dalmacija, and Monika Vrgoč, director of the Tourist Board of Sinj.
The convention, among other topics, presented five successfully implemented IPA Adriatic projects including Archeo.S, AdriaCold, MedPaths, RoofofRock and ARTVISION. This enabled the exchange of acquired knowledge, ideas and good practices with the participation of the educational project workshops, all for the purpose of presenting the diversity and sustainability of the tourist offer of the Adriatic – Ionian, including all project partners, tourist employees, and those interested in finding new ways to create and present the rich and unique potential of each of the participating countries.
The convention was organized by Teaztro Publico Pugliese, a leading partner in the project AdriaWealth, represented by the idea of networking institutions in the Adriatic – Ionian area in order to create new ideas and projects on sustainable (cultural) tourism. The convention built particularly on the project “Medpaths” – highlighting the theme ‘Picture of the luxurious Mediterranean hinterland’, where 30 thematic trails were made including cycling, hiking, equestrian, adventure, and hiking. The environmental theme paths presented cultural, historical, natural and gastronomic heritage.

MedPaths was financed by the European Union through IPA Adriatic cross-border cooperation. The leading project partners are JU RERA SD and SDŽ. Besides the lead partners in the project, the project partners are the Community of Municipalities Basso Biferno (Italy), Association of Municipalities of Sinello (Italy), Split-Dalmatia County, Omis City, City of Sinj, Vrlika City, Municipality of Šestanovac, City of Trilj, Zadvarje municipality, and Municipality of Dugi Rat.
The institution collaborators on the project are the Public Institution for Management of Protected Natural Values in the Split-Dalmatia County, the Ministry of Culture, Conservation Department in Split, Tourist Board of Sinj, Trilj Tourist Board, Tourist Board Omis. The convention’s presentation on the successful completion of MedPaths was held by Marjan Dumanić, and the presentation of tourist potential of the Dalmatian hinterland was held by Monika Vrgoč.
The following is a continuation of the present convention in Split and Dalmatia County organized by Institution RERA SD and SDŽ, where the cultural, historical, natural and gastronomic heritage of the Dalmatian hinterland – Mediterranean hinterland will be presented. The Convention will be held on September 28, 29 and 30 in Split, Klis, Sinj, Trilj and Vrlika.
