October 10, 2019 – Organized by the Trilj Tourist Board and sponsored by the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County, from October 18-20 and October and 26-27, 2019, the Sveti Mihovil Hotel will host the 3rd series of education and licensing for cycling guides.
The training is conducted by the Istrian Development Travel Agency – IRTA, which has been doing so successfully for 10 years. The program begins on the morning of October 18, and the exact hour of the lecture will be received by all participants, as well as a manual, information materials and a gift package.
All interested participants are invited to join the educational workshop.
The program will develop materials important for providing quality and safe cycling guide services: cartography, orientation, physiology, sports nutrition and training, making bicycle packages, managing a group of bicycle tourists and guides, first aid, riding techniques, off-road bicycle service, and familiarizing the group with legislation.
Successful participants receive a certificate confirming they passed vocational training on the basis of which a bicycle guide license for 2020 will be issued by the Croatian Cycling Federation to all successful participants.
To attend the training, participants need:
– solid physical fitness and cycling experience;
– proper MTB bike (preferably SPD pedals and sprinters, but also flat pedals); not a trekking bike!
– helmet (glasses are also recommended)!
– cycling jersey (or appropriate clothing);
– knowledge of at least one foreign language.
Access to education for students of Split-Dalmatia County costs 1.700,00 kn with VAT, and for other participants 2.700,00 kn with VAT.

The costs of travel, consumption and possible overnight stay are covered by the participants, while the costs of one meal (lunch) are borne by the organizer.
