June 10, 2019 – On June 9th, 2019, as part of the permanent tourist promotion, and on the initiative of Joško Stella, Director of the Tourist Board of Split-Dalmatia County, specialized journalists from all countries in which the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) have representation were welcomed as part of the study tour.

In cooperation with local Tourist Boards, through a very attractive tourist program, a Russian film crew from the TV company NTV visited: Brač, Split, Omiš, Makarska, Klis, and Trilj.

As part of the culinary project ‘Let’s Go, Let’s Eat’, which is extremely popular in Russia, the town of Trilj has become the center (and host) of the show. The leader of the show is culinary expert John Waren who has been living and working in Russia for 25 years. In 2016, it was this culinary project that won the National Geographic Traveler Award as the best travel program through Russia, followed by about 8 million viewers.

The goal of the event was to film a show on the gastronomic heritage that will be shown on NTV, with a particular an emphasis on Split-Dalmatia County.

“Thus, the town of Trilj became a place where enthusiastic camera crews and journalists could prepare two of the many specialties offered by the region of Trilj: soparnik and a frog brudet (the whole process of preparation was filmed), and they enthusiastically noted that the city along with the Cetina area was a real gastronomic discovery.
