Valamar has earned long standing popularity in Dubrovnik, attracting hundreds of thousands of people to it’s luxurious complexes dotted along the shore of the Babin Kuk area of Dubrovnik, facing directly towards the sparkling Adriatic sea and the beautiful, green Elaphiti islands (Kolocep, Lopud, Sipan) which seem to float peacefully just northwest of the mainland.
This summer, Valamar Summer Nights will ensure a wide range of entertainment for all generations and tastes. As Valamar‘s website states, ”the fantastic summer programme includes numerous concerts, the March of the City Guard, a gourmet festival, an open-air cinema shows for children and adults.”
Beginning on the 8th of June 2017 with the ”Scents and Tastes Festival” which includes a fair on Mali Stradun (Lapad) and Maslinata Park of rural Croatian produce, a Craft Beer Festival at the popular family camping site ”Camping Solitudo” which will will be the stage to host the bands ”Jinx” and ”Psihomodo Pop”.
ART, Bjelouske, Divlje Jagode, S.A.R.S, Neno Belan and Fiumens and Darko Rundek will also take to the stage at Camping Solitudo.
The Valamar Dubrovnik President Hotel boasts an absolutely stunning terrace with a priceless view of the sea, the Elaphiti islands, the mainland and the rugged coastline, making it the perfect stage for musical performances from Petar Graso, Detour and Pavel during the warm summer evenings.
As of July the 7th, Mali Stradun on Lapad will be full of the sounds of the Jazziana Croatica Ensamble and Retro Evenings will turn the clock back in your minds eyes and ears with numerous performances from talented local Dubrovnik bands and singers on Trg od Fontane and Trg Marina Drzica. The City Guard of Dubrovnik will also patrol the Babin Kuk from Thursday to Sunday, on those same days families with members of all ages can relax and enjoy open-air screenings of films of all kinds as part of the Open Air Cinema Project.
Despite this jam-packed agenda, the event program isn’t even complete! New events are being added throughout the next few weeks to ensure a summer of bliss in the priceless night-time ambience of Dubrovnik.
