Dalmatian Plavac Mali Leads Croatian Wine Invasion In UK

As Total Split announced before, more than 150 Croatian wines by 30 producers will be showcased on October 17 at the Westbury Hotel in London. This will be the largest tasting of Croatian wines ever in the United Kingdom. For the fourth time, the host of the tasting is association Vina Croatia, founded by Croatian Chamber of Commerce. All Croatian wine regions will be featured; Istria, Kvarner, Slavonia, Croatian Danube, Croatian Uplands and, of course, Dalmatia. Moreover, Dalmatian Plavac mali variety, or Dalmatian red wine will have special treatment with a masterclass by food and wine expert Joe Wadsack. Other varieties will be available for tasting fro 10 am until 5.30 pm

This year could be turning point for international success of Croatian wines, since Croatian membership in EU opens many doors that were closed till now.
