The feast of wine and delicacies in Split, Vinski Podrum, came to completion last night after two full days of imbibement.

The fifth edition of Vinski Podrum was the best one yet – and once you’ve been to an event as good, drinking wine will never be the same again (an exaggeration, but mostly true).

Set in the picture perfect cellars of Diocletian’s palace, Vinski Podrum boasted over 80 winemakers from Croatia and the region who brought their best for all wine enthusiasts to enjoy. Because there was no limit to how much you could taste, tables full of domestic cheeses, olive oils, and goods were there to save the day once your tastebuds needed a little kick (or your palate needed a little cleanse).

And the best part? An all you can taste day in the cellars set you back just 65 HRK.

Mark your calendars! If you’re in Split next May, you will not want to miss out on this event. And tell your friends…and have them tell their friends, too.

Here’s a closer look.
