The guild of caterers and tourism workers in the Croatian Chamber of Commerce is organizing the “Congress of Caterers and Tourism Workers” for the 29th consecutive year. This year, the 29th Congress will be held from 27 to 29 November in Split at the hotel Le Meridien Lav. The host of this year’s Congress is the Chamber of Crafts in Split-Dalmatia County (HOK).

In light of the proposed tax reform which is currently in parliamentary procedure, efforts will be made by a panel discussion with relevant institutions to present the possible consequences should the VAT increase. The congress will also present the proponent arguments of the introduction of this tax reform.

“We have prepared a panel discussion with caterers from EU countries and the region in order to learn first-hand about how caterers work in any business environment, what are the legal solutions for individual business segments and other relevant information from the everyday life of caterers,” said the KOH and special guest of the Congress, Emanuele Scarello, a Michelin chef.

The intention is to modernize the Congress to find an attractive way to provide members new trends, to promote the profession with dignity and through thematic workshops and panels, encourage and educate the hospitality industry through presentations and tastings, introduce new products, and the like.
