The exhibition will open on May 25, 2017, and run through June 9, 2017.
A new perspective of the feelings we associate with our childhoods will be shown to the Split public on Thursday, May 25th at 20:00, when Hrvoje Dumančić presents the exhibition “Forgotten Emotions” in Diocletian’s cellars, reports Buro 247 on May 22, 2017.
Expressed through the artwork of horses and horse sculptures, the theme of this exhibition captures forgotten emotions – especially those that are primordial and are experienced most intensely at the time of early childhood. Over time, these feelings are repressed deep in the subconscious.
Dumančić thus brings us back to the memories of our childhood through the sculpture of a toy horse – something that through art seems trivial but here is presented in a consequential way.
The artist’s wish is that visitors will travel through time back to their childhoods and personally and emotionally experience this exhibition.
