Flower of Split is a week that celebrates the admirable women in the city through a series of events and awards.
One of the favorite events Total Split participated in last year was the ‘Flower of Split’ which, lucky for you, returns next week to the Dalmatian capital. An event which focuses on honoring and acknowledging the meritorious women of Split who have given unique contributions to society with their work and activities, this year’s program is yet another magnificent example of just how pertinent women are in the makeup of the city.
So you can plan and choose which events you’d like to attend, here’s a look at this year’s program.
Thursday, March 1st at 19:00 at the Old City Hall at Pjaca: The opening exhibition of Split artists in cooperation with HULU, and the unique choir ‘Marjanka’. The exhibition “1918 … 2018 … 2118”, organized by the Croatian Association of Fine Artists and authored by Ivor Igrec, can be visited on the ground, first and second floor of the space. The exhibition “Woman of Women”, authored by Jagoda Mihanović and organized by the ‘Flower of Split’ Association can be seen on the third floor, ending on March 8, 2018.
Main topics:
The past, present and future role of women in society and their further emancipation, as well as duplicity, duality and ambivalence, expressed through relationships such as men and women, past/future, negative/positive outcomes of emancipation, pessimism/optimism, utopia/dystopia.

Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at 19:00 at the Faculty of Economics-Campus: A concert of the Brodosplit Choir
Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 19:00 at the Old City Hall at Pjaca: On the first floor, a roundtable meeting with women entitled “There are a few of us, but it is enough” with guests Monika Trzić, dr. Žana Saratlija, naval officer Mirna Ribić, taxi driver Antonija Kulundžić and boxer Helena Jurišić (Thai boxing, Kickboxing). The moderator of the evening is Gabrijela Radanović. The women’s choir ‘Marjanka’ will also perform.
Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 11:00 at Villa Dalmatia: The ‘Flower of Split’ award ceremony – 2018 will be held.
