A look back at the festive, food-filled December with Gastro Get.
While Advent in Split is still in full swing through the 16th of January, there is one gem of the festive season we have already kissed goodbye – Gastro Get.
Each weekend of December, restaurants in the Split ‘Ghetto’ gave hungry foodies another reason to eat, drink, and be merry this holiday season, and with every passing weekend, it’s safe to say that everyone’s tummies got a bit heavier.
Uje Oil Bar, Mazzgoon, O’zlata, Galerija Bar and Rodrigo Bar all participated in this year’s gastro-extravaganza, taking gourmands on a journey through the flavors of the Croatian islands to Istria and Slavonia, and of course, on a Bakalar adventure through Croatia’s traditions during the Christmas holiday.
Gastro Get also felt the gift of giving this holiday season, and with their opening event at O’zlata, 8,800 kuna was raised for the Maestral Children’s Home!
Because we’re already a bit nostalgic for the magical holiday season it was, we thought we’d take a trip back through the food, people, and parties of Gastro Get this year.
Here’s a closer look…
It all began with an opening party at O’zlata, complete with tasty bites including Viška pogača, pulled-pork steam buns, and gregada, wine from Plančić Winery, and plenty of dancing.
