Night of Museums takes place tomorrow, January 26, 2018.
This year, Poljud will become one of the major destinations of the traditionally held ‘Night of Museums’, where many Croatian museums and other heritage institutions will participate on Friday, January 26, 2018, reports Hajduk.hr on January 25, 2018.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘Museums and Sport – Faster, Stronger’. HNK Hajduk, as the first football club to participate in the ’Night of Museums’, has cooperated with the Split branch of the Croatian Heritage Foundation – and the Poljud football stadium, as a protected part of Split’s cultural heritage, along with Hajduk’s trophy hall that houses over 1,000 valuable exhibits, will ideally fit into this year’s concept.
Apart from being able to visit the Hajduk Trophy Hall from 18:00, visitors will also be able to find exciting projections at the Cinema Theater tomorrow evening. Starting at 19:11, organized by the Croatian Heritage Foundation, a program will be held under the title ‘It means much more than in writing’. In addition to Branko Bezić Filipović’s video projection, which focuses on the ten-year collaboration between Hajduk and Croatian emigrants, some interesting details will be shared by Gerard Denegri, the first honorary consul of the French Republic and Ante Zonzi Ivković, former Hajduk player. Hajduk fans will also be able to interact with the speakers.
After this program, and until the end of the event, visitors will be able to watch the documentary film by Mate Prlić ‘1950’, a telling story about one of the most celebrated years in the history of the Split club.
An enjoyable evening has been prepared for visitors, ensuring that on Friday, all roads lead to Poljud. Additionally, the Museum’s Membership Department will be open until 22:00 and the fan shop until 24:00.
A free bus will pick up visitors at Zrinsko Frankopanska and Ulica Sedam Kaštela and lead them to Poljud. For all visitors, the main entrance to the event is next to the fan club on the west side of the stadium. Visitors arriving by car can use the large parking lot between the stadium and the harbor.
