“72 Hours Without Compromise” is the largest volunteer marathon in Croatia.

From October 12 to October 15, 2017, Split and Sinj will join Zagreb, Zadar, Dubrovnik, and Osijek in uniting the power of the youth of Croatia in the greatest volunteer marathon the country has seen.
“72 Hours Without Compromise” will be held for its fourth edition this year, pushing young people to put themselves, their time, and their abilities at the disposal of various volunteering actions while promoting common values across Croatia.

Different actions are planned over the three days of the event including workshops, visits to associations and groups, assisting the elderly and disabled, cleaning and remodeling homes, parks, schools, and kindergartens, gathering resources for the poor, ecological actions, creative workshops with children and much more.
In the three years of the volunteer project, more than 3,000 young people have participated in more than 350 actions, working with many civil society organizations, social institutions and schools.

“72 Hours Without Compromise” is an international volunteer project that joins young people while promoting solidarity, communion, creativity and volunteering. The project was conceived and launched in Germany in 1995 when several members of our youth decided to find a way to encourage their peers to volunteer without compromise while unconditionally giving to others, especially those on the margins of society – the discriminated, poor, and needy.
Since then, thousands of young people across Europe have joined forces to transform their local communities into volunteering actions. In Europe, the project has been implemented in a dozen countries including Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, and Switzerland.
Croatia will join these countries in the power of communion and solidarity from October 12 to 15, 2017.
