Split in History: The Many Faces of the Famous Riva

Today we continue our look at Split in history with arguably the most famous waterfront promenade in Croatia, the Split Riva.

With help from our current favorite Facebook group Split kroz povijest (if you haven’t joined already, what are you waiting for?), we have been taking a look at the history of Split through photographs. While some photographs are in color and many are in black and white, each tells a story of Split as it once was.

Today we are shining the spotlight on one of the staples of Split: the Riva.
