June the 1st, 2023 – Deceuninck, known for its PVC profile manufacturing, has opened the new Deceuninck Donja Bistra plant.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of PVC profiles has opened the brand new Deceuninck Donja Bistra plant for business and production. It will also become the largest factory for lamination of PVC profiles in this part of Europe, with a hefty investment worth almost 7 million euros.
Three locations unite as one
With this, Deceuninck, which until now operated at three separate locations in Croatia, has united all of its business processes in one place, from warehouse and production to management and administration.
“In more than 80 years of doing business, Deceuninck has grown into a globally present manufacturer. In addition to the European market, where we generate half of our revenue, we have been present on the US and Canadian markets for almost 30 years, and Turkey is also important to us.
Starting a business in Croatia 20 years ago was an exceptional business decision, and today our partners in the region and Italy are supplied from Zagreb. The opening of this brand new facility, the unification of all business processes, state-of-the-art equipment and the combined experience the employees have will enable the further growth of this important market for us,” said Bruno Humblet, the executive director of the Deceuninck Group.
Each year, Deceuninck applies more than 8 million meters of foil to PVC profiles in its production facilities, which are then exported to markets throughout Europe. “Our new Deceuninck Donja Bistra plant, which spans an area of 17,000 m2, will enable a further increase in capacity to 11 production lines, greater efficiency, as well as faster and better delivery to our more than 500 partners across Europe.
New employment opportunities
We currently employ 160 people in Croatia, and our plan is to open 40 jobs by the end of the year,” said Josip Klasic, the regional director of Deceuninck. The Croatian branch of the Deceuninck company was otherwise opened in 2004, and next year it will celebrate 20 years of business.
