You can visit the charming Little Picnic at Vranyczany Plateu every Thursday in August, 6 – 11 p.m.
We wrote about the charming Little Piknik at Vranyzcany Plateau here, but it was only last week that I got to visit (and love) it in person.
The last event I visited in the Upper Town, The Courtyards, was lovely, but it was too crowded and you couldn’t find a place to sit, so it was wonderful to find that there was plenty of grass for everyone to put their blankets on and enjoy the picnic.
There were young people and old, and Mr Davis crackled happily while people were lounging around. You can hear it on our Instagram here.
Various small farmers presented their very affordable and even tastier products – there were fresh fruit and veggies, pastries, juices, cheese, and dried fruit.
Try the leek goat cheese and smoked cheese, add in some cherry tomatoes, and one of the pastries, and there you have it, a tasty snack for under HRK 30.
The picnic was made shorter by one of the most sudden weather changes that I’ve ever experienced, but, luckily, the oldest bar in Zagreb, Pod starim krovovima, is located nearby, so we managed to grab some snacks and run for cover.
Like Mali Piknik on Facebook and fingers crossed there are no storms next Thursday!
