“Empty meadow enveloped by fog with a faint murmur of the slow-moving river in the background. Spooky fall evening, just like from the Carpenter or Romer movies, with songs of Misfits blasting from the nearby club. Suddenly, evil hordes start to emerge from the fog: zombies, witches, bloodthirsty nurses and many other monsters. They enter a club called Močvara where DJ Mario Kovač puts on a horrifyingly good selection of trash, punk, metal, RnR and music hits from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s… The apocalyptic scenes of the slasher movies on the walls of the club alternate with the strobe light effects at one of the best and most unusual Halloween parties of the past couple of decades. Come see why hundreds of people are returning back to the scene of crime time and time again,” states the announcement of the Močvara Halloween party, inviting all looking for a terribly good time to come by and join the scariest party in town.

On the second ‘floor’ in Pogon Jedinstvo hall, you can catch a cabaret show (from 9 pm – 10.30 pm) or enjoy the best of the scary music and horror hits from popular movies of the horror genre such as the Night Of The Living Dead, Dracula, The Wolf Man, Psycho, Bride Of Frankenstein, Scream, Halloween, Assault on Precinct 13, The Fly, Friday the 13th, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre etc. WolfBad Squad aka Mr Wolf and Mr Bad will make sure the party rages on until the early morning hours (from 10.30 pm – 6 am). “Like it or not, Halloween is Trash” (Oš’ neš’ Haloween je treš) is the name of the Halloween edition of the popular club event at Tvornica Kulture, where people dance and sing along to some of the trashiest hits without inkling of guilt – no guilty pleasures, just a lot of fun! “We do not condemn, we approve” say the organisers, proving that Halloween is a great opportunity to act foolish and let yourself be whatever you wish to be, just for one night. The playlist will include mostly pop, from back-to-back pop, pop punk, hip hop (which rhymes with pop), 90s hits, RnB approved by MTV, Viva, OK!, everything from early 2000s and Backstreet’s Back to more recent pop trash of Taylor Swit’s I Knew You Were Trouble. Of course, expect a lot of ‘homemade’ Croatian trash – Tina and Nikša, E.T., Petar Grašo and many more. The admission if 20 kunas all night long for the all that took time to dress up, whereas the lazy, unimaginative partygoers will have to pay 30 kunas after 1 AM.
