Bonj ‘les bains’ beach club is booked for weddings for the next ten days.
As much due to its natural beauty, priceless architecture and rich history, but equally due to a lively night life and day long activities at sea or around the island, Hvar sits firmly on top of the list of most wanted wedding destinations, honeymoons, but also bachelor’s parties.
Wedding bells will ring this year 88 times in over ten world languages, while five storey cakes will consume 150 kg of chocolate, over 60 kg of nuts and 1,000 fresh flowers, said wedding planner of Sunčani Hvar Nikolina Pijanović.
In the last several years, just in the Sunčani Hvar locations almost 200 couples were married, coming from all corners of the world, but mostly from the United Kingdom, Australia, USA and Scandinavian countries. Most couples previously visited Hvar and were thrilled, only to return a few years later with a hundred friends and family to celebrate their day.
An average wedding has up to a hundred guests, although small ones are not rare, as well as bigger ones. The largest wedding yet was for a South African couple with 300 guests from around the world, in four different events organised by us – from a welcome dinner in Top Bar, rehearsal dinner, beach barbecue and the wedding itself which was quite unique.
Newlyweds often organise for their guests a range of interesting activities, so the entire destination profits from this tourism segment. Guests are often on vacation as well, so the average stay range from 4 to 7 days.
The wish list often includes sailing, visit to the Pakleni islands, kayaking, winery visits and the unavoidable Jeep Safari through the island interior. Besides the restaurants, bars and tourism agencies, there is a high demand for hair dressers and makeup artists, but also photographers and cameramen.
It is important to highlight the cooperation with local partners and our long-standing experience as a key to the success of further development of this tourism offer, as a wedding truly is a private and personally important event, so the trust must be justified.
Sunčani Hvar’s long term plans are to make Hvar a leading European destination in the segment of unique weddings, hence we will further strengthen and develop the brand through integrated marketing activities and increased interaction with guests during their stay in Hvar. Considering Bonj ‘les bains’ is already sold out for several years ahead for certain dates, we will develop alternative and equally attractive wedding locations on beaches, in town and on the islands.
