April 4, 2024 – For the 14th year in a row, a true science festival called 10 Days of Astronomy is taking place in Daruvar, organised by the Kumova Slama Astronomical Society. This year, the opening of this fun and interesting event will be on April 5 at 6 p.m.

As Mojportal writes, the Croatian Ministry of Science and Education is the sponsor of the program.

The secretary of the Kumova Slama Astronomical Society, Antun Boroš, reveals that they are particularly proud because of the 14-year tradition of the event, which has proven to be of real interest to people.

“This event is also important for a new type of tourism in Daruvar, astrotourism. Along with our Dark Sky Park, “Crow’s Stone”, we are proud of what this event has turned into”, says Boroš, explaining that this year the theme of the event is the Moon.

“Recently, the Moon has been emphasized more and more. The return to the moon is mentioned, many other countries such as China and India have already sent spacecraft without astronauts to the moon. We expect that by 2030 astronauts will be on the moon again, that’s why this is our theme this year”, explains Boroš.
