2018’s Days of Croatian Tourism (Dani Hrvatskog Turizma) will take place on Croatia’s premier island, Hvar.
As Morski writes on the 16th of May, 2018, this October’s ”Days of Croatian Tourism” event, a traditional and highly fruitful gathering consisting of all things and indeed all people involved in Croatia’s booming tourism industry, will be held on the sunniest Croatian island of them all, the stunning Hvar, which is marking 150 years of tourist tradition this year.
”The Days of Croatian Tourism [event] is the central place for meetings, education, the exchange of knowledge and experiences which exacerbates the growing interest of stakeholders in tourism and its related industries from year to year. The value of this event as well as the overall importance of tourism for the development of the country has been recognised by the Government of the Republic of Croatia, which is specifically directing activities towards the development of continental and island tourism,” stated the Croatian Tourism Minister, Gari Cappelli.
”With the support of the government and the synergy of public private partnership, we’re working to increase the quality of the tourist offer, increase the income and the interest of investors for Croatia, and thus, we’re successfully marking our place on the world map of tourist destinations. By choosing Hvar as a pearl of Croatian tourism and one of our most recognisable destinations, we’re honoured to be able to pay tribute to their big anniversary with them being the hosts of this year’s Days of Croatian Tourism. With the celebration of 150 years of tourist tradition, Hvar’s locals have proven what good hosts and organisers they are, and I’m looking forward to joint collaboration of the organisation of yet another edition of Days of Croatian Tourism,” concluded the minister.
The Days of Croatian Tourism event is traditionally held under the organisation of the Ministry of Tourism, the Croatian Chamber of Economy, and the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), and each year, the event successfully brings together more than a thousand participants.
This year’s rich program brings with it various educational lectures, workshops and roundtables from leading domestic and world tourism experts.
