As Morski writes, unless you’re a fan of fishing, angling and other similar hobbies, you likely won’t have heard of Fishing Booker. This reputable worldwide fishing platform recently ranked the 266 best fishing destinations outside the borders of the USA in its latest study.
The best Croatian fishing destination, at least according to this platform, is Split. Croatia’s second largest city managed to achieve an enviable rating in this international competition, finishing in 12th place. Split shares that ranking with Mexico’s famous Playa del Carmen.
The study ranked the 266 best fishing destinations outside of the USA according to five criteria, using internal data from more than 40,000 fishing trips over the past year. The best Croatian fishing destination of Split earned 26 out of a possible 60 points, achieving its best results in two out of the five categories. These are the average ratings of reviews and guides with the Angler’s Choice award.
In addition to the City of Split, in the selection of this year’s best world fishing destinations, Budva in neighbouring Montenegro was the only destination in close proximity to Croatia.
As for the ranking of Fishing Booker within the borders of Croatia, the top five are Split, Bakarac, Cavtat, Hvar and Medulin.
