One of Croatia’s largest and most relevant fashion events Cro-a-Porter started its 26th edition on Thursday October 15, 2015 at Hauba@Lauba in Zagreb with 7 attractive collections for upcoming autumn/ winter season. We have to hand it to the art director and producer Victor Drago, once again he managed not only to bring in the biggest names of Croatian fashion, but also to surprise us with the event venue, design and setup.
26th season was opened by the newest autumn / winter collection by Nebo inspired by the past but created from state of the art materials with exceptional textures. Timeless elegance will definitely once again attract many Croatian fashionistas while few of the more daring pieces from the collection will probably find their way on the red carpet, weddings and other special occasions.
Young designer Anthony Avangard presented his latest mens collection “OXYGEN” filled with colour and with a special accent on sport and sophistication. He successfully combines cotton nets, neoprene and Eco leather to create clothes for guys who like to have fun with fashion.
Artwork by Laszlo Moholy – Nagya was the inspiration behind the new collection by Vedrana Mastela. Characterised by earthy tones, see-through fabrics and hand painted pieces, entire collection evokes a festive feeling, youthful spirit and freedom of expression.
Katarina Džale presented a collection for women that don’t blindly follow trends and are always looking for ethno and traditional elements in their clothing. Her collection is entitled Terra Panonica and it draws its inspiration form nature. Her dresses are filled with colour and natural fabrics such as silk and wool but made out of recycled waste fabrics.
