Craft Beer News: The Garden Brewery Exports throughout Europe

Craft brewery owners Nick Colgan and David Plant have announced that The Garden Brewery will start exporting its beer from November, reports Poslovni.hr.

The visionary team behind the Garden Festival, Garden Resort Tisno, Barbarella’s Discotheque and The Garden Lounge are responsible for their newest project ‘The Garden Brewery’ – a craft beer production facility that combines progressive beers, delicious street food, brewery tours and tastings alongside special events.

Located in Zagreb, the Garden Brewery serves up beers made from organic ingredients including their Adriatic Pale Ale, Session Ale, Styrian Stout, and Kettle Sour.

In most recent news, the Garden Brewery now plans to export their beer throughout Europe. The main export destinations will be in Germany, with the Garden team planning to export its four beers in cans, all while promoting Croatia as a tourist destination. They have also announced the launch of a webshop.

“The Garden brand is recognized locally and around the world, and the first cans will now be sent throughout Europe. It is clear that Germany is a very large market that has a long association with Croatia and we are very happy that we will be able to distribute our beer. Further plans to export to other countries are already in preparation because we want Croatian craft beer to be internationally recognizable and recognized,” said David Plant, one of the partners in the Garden Brewery.

The Garden craft beer will be present in some of the best bars in Stuttgart, such as Paul & George, Condessa and Riedmüller Craft Beer – the next stop will be Munich.

“Growing market craft beers in Germany is also a platform where we can demonstrate creativity, because the Bavarian laws that German brewers use impose limits where you can use just a few ingredients, which limits innovation and a variety of craft techniques,” explained the Garden. The Garden Brewery is also the only craft brewery in the region with a machine for packaging in cans.

As pointed out, the cans are used because they can be recycled and this packaging is better than other packaging to preserve the taste and flavor. Another upside? They are also easier to transport.

As a tourism promotion for Croatia, the Garden has achieved packaging designs inspired by Croatian landscapes including sunsets in Tisno to peacefulness in Kornati, the forests in Slavonia and Istria, to the national parks at night.
