Valuable promotions for Croatia’s tourism offer close to home in Düsseldorf and far away in Mumbai.
Croatia has been winning awards and breaking records left, right and centre for a while now, but 2017 was truly a ground-breaking year for the country as record after record was smashed and more tourists visited than ever before.
With conscious aims to make Croatia a 12-month tourist destination and break free of the ”summer destination” title in which it has become somewhat entangled along with other southern European countries, the country is being presented at tourism fairs across the rest of Europe and the world. The latest of which are taking place in two entirely different countries – Germany and India.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 24th of January, 2018, at the Düsseldorf BOOT nautical fair, which is open until January the 28th, visitors from both Germany and further afield have been showing great interest in the Republic of Croatia and the country’s varied tourist offer, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) announced on Tuesday.
Angelina Yachtcharter, Burin Yacht Charter, Croatia Yachting, Marina Muroskva and The Yachting Club were jointly presented, and the German market is one of the most important markets in this segment.
“Croatia has achieved more than 470,000 arrivals and more than 3 million overnight stays in the nautical charter in 2017, which is a 15 percent increase,” said HTZ’s Director Kristjan Staničić.
At the same time as being in Germany, HTZ is also presenting Croatia on the other side of the world at the OTM business fair in Mumbai, India, where Croatia is being introduced for the very first time. On Tuesday, Croatia was placed in the category of ”most promising new destination”, winning an award for the most attractive new destination.
