Beautiful ladies of Croatian origin will compete for a chance to participate in Miss Supranational Croatia in June
The Austrian-Croatian Association for Culture and Sport is preparing its traditional Croatian Ball in Vienna, reports Moja Hrvatska on January 19, 2018.
The so-called Kroatischer Ball will take place on February 3 at the Sofiensäle (Marxergasse 17) in Vienna, starting from 8 in the evening. The association has been organising the ball for Croatian diaspora for 26 years, but the upcoming 27th edition will have a new feature: Miss Croatia Diaspora, the first Viennese beauty pageant for expats of Croatian origin.
Four beautiful ladies who make the finals in Vienna will have a chance to participate in the Miss Supranational Croatia, another diaspora pageant that will take place in June.
The audience can look forward to a night of good entertainment: the traditional Croatian Ball will see performances of the Dalmatian a capella group Maslina and the Mejaši band. Three cultural and artistic societies from Vienna will present a range of Croatian folk dances and traditional songs: Bosanska Posavina, Busovača and Posavski vez.
“We’re expecting around 500 guests from Austria, Croatia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with representatives of the political, diplomatic, economic and cultural milieus from the listed countries”, stated Miroslav Piplica, the president of the Austrian-Croatian Association for Culture and Sport.
