“The king of the jungle connected us – the lion is our mascot, and our players participated in naming the lion cubs last year. Our cooperation didn’t stop there – our club is now their proud sponsor, and us working together will put Dinamo and Zagreb ZOO, important symbols of the city, on the map, not only in Croatia but also worldwide. ZOO banners will be shown at the stadium, and Dinamo players and their mascot Plavko will come visit our part of the Maksimir forest. We want to promote our core values among children and their parents: our love of animals, fair play, and cheer spirit,” Damir Skok, Zagreb ZOO director pointed out.

Coach Mario Cvitanović and players Nikola Moro, Dominik Livaković, Filip Benković, and Ivan Fiolić visited the ZOO, making it an unforgettable experience for the youngest ZOO visitors.
“Our cooperation with the ZOO builds on our long-term project of cooperating with Zagreb primary and secondary schools, the aim of which is attracting more young visitors and their families to the stadium. We want to raise a new generation of Dinamo fans who will provide support to our players on the field,” Krešimir Antolić, GNK Dinamo management board member said.

Mr Antolić pointed out that lions should be an inspiration to Dinamo players in their match against Hajduk today, and coach Cvitanović promised that they would fight like lions.
“You can really feel true love for Dinamo here at the ZOO. We hope that our fans at the game will be cheering for Dinamo with the same level of enthusiasm,” coach Cvitanović said.
In addition to the real lions at the ZOO, and everyone’s favourites among them – one-year old cubs Tuma and Uzuri, the children got to spend some time with Dinamo’s mascot and they got special presents.
