Ultra Europe will be held in Split from July 6 to 8, 2018.
Everything is ready for the sixth edition of ULTRA Europe! Thousands of festival-goers from around the world will arrive in Split and Split-DalmatiaCounty, heading straight into the Destination ULTRA Opening Party at Hemingway Club tomorrow, which will officially start the massive electronic spectacle. Mega stages, unprecedented production, and a promising DJ talent will once again take over the beautiful Poljud – and the schedule for performances by the hour can now be found on the ULTRA Europe mobile application.
In order for all Ultranauts to have an even more unforgettable festival experience, there is an ULTRA Europe 2018 application that is ready to download on mobile devices. The application is available for all iOS and Android devices, and apart from the hourly lineups of your favorite DJs and service information, the app makes it easy for guests to find everything they need inside the stadium to enjoy the festival completely. The mobile app was released last night with the schedule of performers by the hour for all of the festival days, so you can see when The Chainsmokers, Carl Cox, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren or Marshmello will greet the vibrant festival audience.
This year’s ULTRA adventure officially starts on Thursday at Hemingway Club. The Destination ULTRA Opening Party presents Charlotte De Witte, a 22-year-old from Belgium, who quickly moved up in the scene amongst her male counterparts. Her single ‘You’re Mine’, released for the mega-popular Spinnin ‘Records, has been viewed over 12 million times, and since she has turned to the sounds of techno, she has become the inevitable name of many international clubs and one of the most famous names in the Belgian scene. The opening party will also feature Daniel Pearce, an English DJ and producer who has played under the name Eats Everything since 2011. The award for Best Newcomer DJ, Tech-house DJ, and House DJ are just some of the awards he has won, guaranteeing hours of exceptionally good house, bass and trip-hop music.
Split-Dalmatia County and the City of Split are ready for the arrival of thousands of visitors from all over the world. For their safety, there are numerous city services provided 24 hours a day and available to all citizens and visitors of Split this year. In order to function according to the highest festival standards, more than 2000 people are involved in the organization of the festival – and given the high-security measures, organizers recommend all visitors meet and adhere to the festival’s rules.
Poljud Stadium will open its doors at 7 pm. Although organizers advise coming to the festival without a bag, if it is necessary, it must be plastic and transparent and not larger than 33×43 cm. Small clutch bags, straps, and waist bags will be allowed. Professional photo and video cameras and drones are banned, but GoPros and other action cameras are allowed. Any kind of flammable substances, sprays, alcoholic beverages and food, lasers, larger chains, water pistols, face masks, and any other kind of illegal substances are strictly prohibited at the venue of the festival. It is also forbidden to bring bottles, cans, open packets of cigarettes, medicines and eye drops, umbrellas, blankets, and any kind of chains. It is important to emphasize that visitors must have a valid identification document or a driver’s license. Medical assistance, free water booths, ATMs, mobile phone chargers, a variety of food products including vegetarian and international cuisine, information counters as well as counters for lost items, helpful staff and a clean and safe environment are just some of the services that will make it easy to stay and complement the festival guests’ experience at Poljud.
The official beer of ULTRA Europe is Heineken, which, besides allowing its consumers to live genuinely and collectively, at the same time invites them to responsibly enjoy the best beer. Heineken believes that moderation is cool, so this year, ULTRA Europe in Split will provide visitors with an additional selection – Heineken 0.0 – a top-notch beer with an extraordinary flavor that can be enjoyed on all occasions and even at the best musical events.
Users of contactless Mastercard® and Maestro® cards can use their festival card at no charge, and there is a 10% discount on the purchase of promotional products by Mastercard and Maestro cards for a sum of 250 kuna and more. Contactless and standard Mastercard and Maestro cards are the official means of payment at the festival and can be used to buy food and drinks at the festival.
“Croatia has experienced a festival boom in the past few years, most often speaking of the number of tourists coming to our country due to a festival. But until now, we did not know how Croatian citizens viewed festivals and how many of them attended festivals. According to the MasterIndex survey we conducted in May, half of Croatians (52%) visited a festival in the last two years, including the ULTRA Europe festival,” said Gea Kariž of Mastercard. “It is interesting to note that electronic music festivals are the most popular among the respondents from Northern Croatia and Istria, Primorje and Gorski Kotar, and among men, young people and those with a higher level of education.”
