A look back at the magical holiday season in Split.
Advent in Split has swept us off of our feet this month, and as is it the most extended Advent in Split’s history, we get to enjoy the festive atmosphere until January 16, 2018. Who says the holiday season is nearing its end?
With new locations at this year’s brand new Tourist Palace, in front of the Gallery of Fine Arts, the children’s Advent at Strossmayer’s Park (or what us locals like to call ‘Dardin’), and favorite locations from the past – the Riva and Pjaca – the people of Split have paraded the city with mulled-win (or gin) in tow to celebrate the holiday season.
Because today is the final day of the year, and because we’re feeling a bit nostalgic, we thought we’d take you on a photo-tour of Split transformed into a magical winter wonderland.
Today we take a look at Split through the lens of Daniel Jones, an American photographer who hails from Virginia. This is Daniel’s first Advent experience in the city, and we think he’s captured the soul of the holidays in Split better than anyone.
