Producer at Dream Team Pictures Vjekoslav Katušin is visiting Istria these days, reports Glas Istre. Katušin is accompanied by his co-producer Jani Zombori Banovac from the Film Center of Istria in Pula on his search for filming locations for the mystery thriller ‘C.L.E.A.N.’. Leading roles should be played by Hollywood stars Tom Sizemore and Costas Mandylor.
“The two famous actors are interested in coming to Istria”, said Katušin after looking at multiple locations in Pula, Rovinj, and Bale. The German-born producer also works as an actor, screenplay writer and entertainer, and his best-known work is producing the movie ‘Someone dies tonight’ featuring Eric Roberts.
‘C.L.E.A.N.’ is supposed to get filmed exclusively in Istria, and if everything goes according to plan, the month-long filming should start at the end of October. If the project gets off the ground, it could be a fantastic way of promoting Istria as a filming destination. Once the decision is made, Katušin and Zombori Banovac will plan the audition for the leading actress. The film is privately financed, and will cost around a million euro in total.
“Croatia is a low-cost destination when it comes to filming, but the quality of the work remains the same”, said Katušin.
