A closer look at how the people of Split welcome the quieter offseason months.
Believe it or not, we’re already more than halfway through November. And with the weather this good, the people of Split are greeting these calmer months with glee.
While the first half of November saw quite a bit of rain and blistering bura winds, this week, we’ve been able to salute the sun once again – and yes, you guessed it, everyone has escaped from the comfort of the indoors.
This morning on the Riva was particularly special. After my morning workout in Varoš, I forced my sweated-drenched self to enjoy a coffee and people watch. From 10 am I sat, sipping my warm cup while the weather became warm enough for jackets to be slipped off.
The sun, shimmering and as luminous as a pleasant summer day, hit the backs of hundreds of socializing coffee drinkers – we nearly forgot that December is just a week away.
Here’s a look at how the people of Split enjoyed their Saturday morning on November 18, 2017.
Tourists are still visiting, and still wearing sandals!
A walk for the Split Diabetes Association.
Every cafe is full…
And there are still tour groups!
And our green market never stops working.
Who said Split is boring in the offseason?
