With INmusic beginning tomorrow, we thought it would be good to help you prepare your last minute checklist to ensure a good, stress free time at Lake Jarun over the next few days.
INmusic is Croatia’s largest open-air festival in a lakeside location on the edge of Zagreb (Lake Jarun). Flights from the UK and generally all over Europe are very easy (and relatively inexpensive) this time of year, and the Zagreb airport is easily accessible not far from the center of town. There are airport shuttle busses to and from the airport from the main bus station in the center of town, costing only 30kn each way.
Accommodation is available through the festival in the form of campsites, so if you are choosing to camp we’d hope you have all of your tent, sleeping bags, and and camping supplies fully ready for tomorrow. Camping is also a cheaper alternative to staying in apartments or hostels within the city. Camping passes are still available to purchase here. If you do choose to stay inside the city center, with the easy transportation to and from the festival (see below), your option pool is even wider. Zagreb is flooding with hostels and apartments for cheaper than most any other capital city in Europe, and we are sure you will be pleasantly surprised at your plethora of options. Check booking.com, airbnb.com, and hostelworld.com for some quick, last minute options.
Once you’re settled into your accommodation in Zagreb, navigating the city is very easy with the various forms of public transportation at your feet. To get to the festival, you can take tram numbers 5 or 17, both going to Jarun (with the stop you get off at called Jarun). The 17 tram is easiest to grab right in the center at Trg Bana Jelačića. It’s a very short walk from the Jarun stop to the festival grounds. Side note: Zagreb also has Uber if worst case scenario the trams are too full or taking too long.
The weather forecast is looking like rain on Monday, and sunny and hot Tuesday and Wednesday, so be sure to pack accordingly and be prepared! Drink a lot of water, take care of your body, and most importantly, see some damn good live music!
INmusic takes place from June 20-22 at Lake Jarun in Zagreb. Tickets still available here.
