This summer, Maksimir park is home to a range of cultural, artistic and social events. In an event to provide something different intended for locals and tourists that want to spend their free time with pleasant company in an urban atmosphere, a new picnic paradise will take place in one of Europe’s most beautiful parks.
Every Saturday until the end of summer, Maksimir stadium will be organized for picnics from 10h-17h, transforming the park into a perfect picnic oasis. The first picnic was held on Saturday, June 18th and attracted many visitors. As Maksimir was recently named one of the 14 most beautiful city parks in Europe, an effort to continue this park’s magic is in order!
The aim of this project is to encourage generations young and old to enjoy the summer oasis Maksimir has created, forcing the socialization of outdoors.
For those that come to the picnic without food, there will be prepared picnic baskets for you to choose from, filled with fine homemade sandwiches, cheeses, sweet snacks, fruit, and vegetables – packed for couples, or four to six people.
Each Saturday this green oasis will also host a DJ, with a selection of summer music to fill your ears. Visitors will also be to enjoy games and reading, as there will be a small library open in the area.
A relaxed atmosphere with friends or a romantic evening for you and yours, Zagreb picnic is the perfect place for you to share unforgettable moments outdoors.
