It seems that Pag is still the number one party island in Croatia: unlike some tourists’ lame attempts to annoy the locals by walking around shirtless, a certain British tourist on Pag island decided to go all the way and wander the streets in his birthday suit.
On Saturday, around 6 PM, disturbed residents reported a tourist who was taking a walk without any clothes on. His actions can’t be blamed solely on his free spirit, as the reported 3 permilles of blood alcohol probably had something to do with his need to feel the sun on every part of his body.
The 36-year-old was taken into police custody in Zadar, where the judge fined him 300 kuna for disturbance of public morals. We’re taking it as a good example for all other destinations experiencing problems with public disorder and indecency – once you start showing you’re not willing to tolerate reckless behaviour, your tourist clientele might also start respecting local customs.
