The Foo Fighters will play in front of just 7,000 fans at Pula Arena next summer.

In only two minutes, all tickets for the Foo Fighters’ premiere performance in Croatia, which will take place on June 19, 2019, at the spectacular Pula Arena, have sold out. The Foo Fighters’ first gig in Croatia has thus become the fastest selling concert of a foreign performer in the history of guest appearances in Croatia, reports Jutarnji List on November 23, 2018.

From the very announcement on November 19, 2018, it was clear that the debut Croatian performance of the Foo Fighters would be sensational. The incredible interest in the exclusive concert, coupled with the fact that that this would be the smallest capacity for a Foo Fighters show in the past ten years, was even further enhanced by the fact that frontman Dave Grohl and the band chose the Pula Arena for the concert venue themselves. The capacity for the Pula show is just 7,000! The upcoming Croatian gig is grouped in the band’s 2019 summer tour, which includes a small number of European festivals combined with independent concerts.

But this isn’t the first time Croatia has sold tickets for foreign artists in shocking time. In recent history, all the tickets for the premiere gigs of U2 in Zagreb and David Gilmour in Pula sold out in one day, and Chris Cornell’s gig at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Halland sold out in less than 3 hours!

The interest in next year’s Foo Fighters concert, however, is the craziest Croatia has seen and resulted in record sales this morning. It is now even more evident that the band’s visit to Pula next summer will become the biggest rock event in the region next year.

The Foo Fighters formed in Seattle, Washington back in 1994. You may recall, the band was founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. While the Foo Fighters’ first album was released just one year later in 1995,  they first found success with the 1997 album ‘The Colour and the Shape’ which featured hits “Monkey Wrench,” “My Hero,” “Everlong” and “Walking After You.” The band has produced nine albums over their career and has won Grammy’s for “Best Rock Album” for four of their albums. As of 2016, 12 million copies were sold in the United States alone.

The Foo Fighters current composition includes Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins, Chris Shiflett, and Rami Jaffee.
