What do Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and an Americana Band from Split have in common?

Well on their way to living the American dream, Split Americana band 058 will embark on a tour of the Red, White, and Blue this October, reports Dalmatinski Portal on October 15, 2017.

While they will be lucky enough to play gigs in several cities across the United States, we’d consider the group even more fortunate to record a live session album in the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis.

Now, if you’re not familiar with Sun Studio, let us give you a taste of just how legendary this opportunity is. Not only is the Sun Studio in Memphis considered the birthplace of rock ’n roll, but the studio was also one of the first to hear the voices and guitars of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis, among many others. Sound familiar?

The band will also perform at the Texas Country Music Awards for the second time after winning an award for the most original music.

Behind the 058’s are a number of successful singles in both the Croatian and English language, and they have participated in even more domestic and foreign festivals during their short career. Their departure for the American tour follows their current single titled ‘Bijeg’. This is also the band’s single on their first studio album for Croatia Records. The music for the band’s latest album was composed by Branko Mamut, the lyrics by Ivana Pinčić, and the production by Ivan Cinotti at Extra Music Studio in Kaštel Štafilić. The single is followed by a music video directed by Toni Banov. You can check it out below.

Americana band 058 is a musical project founded by guitarist and composer Branko Mamut in 2012. After an urge to gather a great team of musicians to tell a new kind of story in Split, Mamut recruited band members Nera Šulentić, Predrag Lovrinčević, Nikša Orlandić, Zvonimir Šulentić and Ivan Cinotti. Because of their cooperation, can-do attitude, and creative energy, the project expanded and produced an English-language album intended primarily for a foreign audience. We think the Croatian market has taken a liking to it, too.

The variety of personalities and musical styles who have found a common language in this story create an unusual, unique and eclectic musical collage. It is a compound that infuses energy and heat and is driven exclusively by the love of music.

Bravo to the 058 for accomplishing what many of us consider the impossible.
