There’s a brand new festival in Split we think all of you photographers might fancy.
October 24, 2018 – Split Format is a new cultural and tourist event dedicated to photographic theory and practice organized by the Fotoklub Split. The event is sponsored by the Tourist Board of the City of Split and the City of Split, and will take place from November 2 to 18, 2018.
Boris Cvjetanovićwill open the festival at the Gallery of Fotoklub Split
The festival will open on November 2nd with an exhibition by famous Croatian photographer Boris Cvjetanović at the Gallery of Fotoklub Split, and 27 unique and attractive events will lure visitors over the following 16 days.
Lectures, presentations, and workshops can be expected at the first Split Format festival
The festival consists of a series of exhibitions, educational and promotional activities where visitors will be able to listen to numerous lectures of specialized professionals from various areas of photography, get acquainted with the latest photographic equipment at presentations of leading world producers, and participate in several photo workshops.
Split Format contributes to the cultural identity of Split
The realization of this project contributes to the creation of a cultural heritage corpus and building a unique cultural identity, enabling the city of Split to compete with the cultural metropolises of the world where similar festivals have been organized for years.
