Telegraph UK Best and Don’t Miss Music Festivals in Croatia for 2016

Daniela Rogulj

Croatia’s music festivals are in the news again as Belinda Maude, travel writer for the Telegraph, has listed Croatia’s coolest new music festival, and 5 more you shouldn’t miss this summer.

One of the newest festivals to the scene this year and arguably most popular is Love International, the festival that embraces everything the Garden Festival once was with a new perspective. Maude suggests that the red-roofed and quiet town of Tisno coupled with shady pine beaches and the short taxi boat ride to Barbarella’s at midnight as some of the highlights. She also claims that if you aren’t soaking up the quieter spots of the seaside town during the day, definitely take advantage of the boat parties Love International has to offer. A jam packed lineup with an energy and vibe as good as the last decade, Love International has surpassed expectations, and “the beacon passed on by The Garden Festival has been kept alight.”

In choosing the 5 festivals not to miss this year, Maude suggests Ultra Europe which just took place over the weekend as “not to miss” due to the combination of central location and a show stopping lineup, cementing the festival into Croatia’s already prolific festival calendar. Other festivals you should not miss are the brand new Movement and pioneer Soundwave in Tisno, and the seasoned and ever so popular Dimensions and Outlook festivals in Pula.
