Sonus festival, one of Croatia’s top music festivals that is held on the popular Zrće beach, will take place from August 21-25. This year’s festival, aside from 5 days and 5 nights of partying, is getting involved in a humanitarian effort set forth by world renowned DJ Seth Troxler.

With over 60 artists at Sonus festival alone, one DJ is planning on getting the crowd pumped in another way: by donating to brain tumor research.

Seth Troxler, a world renowned underground DJ and producer who has been on the scene since 2002, is currently leading a humanitarian effort to support the research of brain tumors. In an effort to raise one million US dollars, Troxler has promised to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

The fundraising page has already reached a whopping $107,153 of its initial goal to reach $100,000, and with the help of festival goers at Sonus, Troxler hopes to maximize the donations.

Festival goers at Sonus this year will have the opportunity to donate to the cause. An info booth will be set up on the festival grounds, educating patrons of the festival about the importance of brain tumor research, in hopes to encourage a donation.

A good way to do a good deed after a continuous 5 day party? We think so.
