Will Smith: This is my first time in Croatia and it’s great!

The famous American actor held a concert at the MTV SummerBlast festival in Poreč over the weekend.

“This is my first time in Croatia, and it’s great!” exclaimed Hollywood actor Will Smith from the stage of MTV SummerBlast where he relaunched his music career for the first time in 20 years, reports Vecernji List on August 28, 2017. 

Smith had the SummerBlast crowd in a frenzy on Saturday as they sang and danced to his top hits including “Just the Two of Us”, “Summertime”, “Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble”, “Parents Just Don’t Understand”, and “Miami” where Smith slyly changed the lyrics to represent Croatia. 

The celebrity arrived in Poreč on Saturday, with his stellar star status exhibited through the fifty or so people in his entourage. Among them was Smith’s longtime friend and music partner for over 30 years, DJ Jazzy Jeff.

“Ok… reflection time again. In about 4 hrs I hit the stage with my music partner for the 1st time in about 20 years in Croatia. I couldn’t sleep last night because of the excitement. It’s a great lesson in living in the moment..never take a second for granted…it’s not promised. So for the time…I’m sitting and watching the last sunset here in Croatia before the show. I’m so grateful for this moment and cannot be more happy with the crew with sharing this with me!!! It’s finally here!!! #JJFP17,” Jazzy Jeff wrote on his Instagram profile as he published several photos with Smith and stunning scenes of Croatia throughout their stay.

Will Smith and friends were accommodated in a luxury villa on the island of Sveti Nikola, located opposite Poreč, from which they came into the town by boat. Smith and his group are said to have enjoyed the specialities of Adriatic fish, Istrian beef, truffles and sushi.

Smith was surrounded by bodyguards and camera operators the entirety of his stay in Croatia, and on his list of wishes from the organizers of the festival, Smith requested exercise equipment, video game consoles, scented candles, Croatian flags, cameras, massages and more.
