Adriatic Bed Of The Week: Dubrovnik Does It Again!

Does one really need walls? An Audi and a Mercedes work just as well!

Not long ago, we did a story on how people are becoming inventive when it comes to finding good accommodation and a place to hit the hay after a long day of exploring different cities in Croatia.

Just like last time when we discovered someone using an actual roof as a place to catch forty winks, it seems that Dubrovnik has taken first place once again as Index reports on a couple of tourists deciding to use their skills to transform expensive German auto engineering into an open air hotel room on the 20th of August, 2017.

Personally, I am tired of hearing about how ”expensive” Dubrovnik is. You need to be inventive if you want to save a few euros! Sure, it might not be Rixos Libertas or the Hilton Imperial, but if it takes a couple of tired Belgians relaxing between two luxury cars in a car park in Gruz to prove that Dubrovnik can indeed be enjoyed while remaining down to earth (quite literally, in this case), then consider it proven.

In fairness to these two tired tourists, Belgium is hardly next door and the signs in this area of the city do quite clearly state that you need to stop if you’re tired!
