The Pearl of the Adriatic is taking a battering from the elements.
As Dubrovacki Dnevnik reports on the 27th of November, 2017, Dubrovnik’s Franjo Tudjman Bridge was closed as of 03:40 this morning.
Strong bura and adverse weather conditions in southern Dalmatia have also caused significant problems for maritime traffic as the catamaran line between Split and Vela Luka, as well as the Korčula – Hvar – Split line, which was halted.
Air traffic has also been affected as a morning flight from Dubrovnik to Istanbul, Turkey, was cancelled, and a morning flight heading in the opposite direction from Istanbul to Dubrovnik Airport didn’t manage to land.
