Welcome news for Novi Vinodolski!
As Morski writes on the 11th of May, 2018, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure will allocate a massive 700 thousand kuna to the repair of two waterfronts in the coastal town of Novi Vinodolski. The works will be carried out through a partnership with the Town of Novi Vinodolski.
With cash in the amount of 330,000 kuna, the repair of the so-called ”small waterfront” on Dr. Franjo Tudjman promenade will be supported. The ministry will also allocate 364,000 kuna for the reconstruction of the pier on the San Marino islet.
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, headed by Oleg Butković, will finance a further two projects in the wider Novi Vinodolski area, both through close cooperation with ŽLU Novi Vinodolski.
In the case of the completion of the construction of the Klenovica fishing port, the competent ministry invested almost 8.2 million kuna last year, and this year, it has provided an additional 5.9 million kuna. The plan is to construct a western breakwater and expand the part of the coast which is operational. Klenovica will is due to get a new port by mid-June this year.
The fourth project in the area of Novi Vinodolski is the renovation of the coastal wall of Suha Ričina. Last year, the ministry provided a million kuna for the project, and this year, it has allocated a further 700,000 kuna. The former appearance of Suha Ričina’s mouth was considered to be a bit of an eyesore for tourists first arriving to spend time in Novi Vinodolski.
As Novi list writes, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure has allocated 16.5 million kuna this year into works in Novi Vinodolski so far.
