October the 17th, 2023 – Bugatti Rimac is set to open a brand new research, development and innovation centre, but it won’t be on Croatian territory…

As Novac/Jutarnji writes, Bugatti Rimac is expanding its operations across Europe by opening a new research, development and innovation centre in nearby Italy, the company reports.

Almost one entire year after opening a design and engineering centre in the German capital of Berlin, Bugatti Rimac will now expand into another centre for automotive expertise and technical excellence. The opening of the new Bugatti Rimac R&D office will take place in Bologna.

The new centre will be a big support to the Zagreb headquarters

This brand new centre will bring the Bugatti Rimac company even closer to its prominent partners and suppliers, and thus enable it to provide fast and responsive support where necessary. It will also support the company’s headquarters in Zagreb, where up to fifty future employees will be employed, in tandem with the Croatian team.

Since its founding back in 2021, the Bugatti Rimac company has clearly stated that it intends to market innovative solutions that will raise automotive performance and innovation to even higher levels. The company has also stated that their new Italian team will be in charge of developing new technologies and state-of-the-art engineering in order to get to work on this daunting but doable task.

A tribute to the past, as well as a contribution to the company’s future

The new centre will not only contribute to the formation of the company’s future, but also pay tribute to Bugatti’s glorious past. As part of the new facility, an interesting Heritage Centre will be opened, where some of the brand’s most famous models from the past will be exhibited. In addition, there will also be the so-called reverse engineering of automotive parts as part of Bugatti’s La Maison Pur Sang programme. This has so far provided restoration and reconfiguration services for historic Bugatti car models at an Atelier factory in Molsheim, France.

The Italian branch of Bugatti Rimac is located at Via Del Monte 1 in Bologna. The general managers Filippo D’Adamo and Roberto Rotundo will be the business managers, and further recruitment information will be available in due course.

A key moment for Bugatti Rimac

Emilio Scervo, Chief Technology Officer of Bugatti Rimac, stated: “Since our founding back in November 2021, Bugatti Rimac has been striving to create a new definition of hypercar through the combination of design, performance, and technical skill. All of that is also very much in evidence when you look at our continuous development. After the successful launch of our office in Berlin last year, I’m extremely proud to announce our presence in another area that has made a huge contribution to the automotive world: Northern Italy, where there is an abundance of engineering expertise and talent. The opening of the Italian centre for research, development and innovation is another key moment for Bugatti Rimac. I’m convinced that this new centre will play an extremely important part in the development of innovative cars and technologies, and it will be something the world can look forward to.”

A unique coming together of two automotive pioneers

Otherwise, Bugatti Rimac represents the synergy of two automotive and technological pioneers and leaders. Rimac’s distinctive agility, technical expertise and persistent innovation in the field of electric vehicles, together with Bugatti’s one hundred and thirteen-year tradition of designing and creating some of the most famous hypercars ever made, now make it the globe’s leading manufacturer of hypercars.
