The Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) announced their traditional contest ‘Tourist Flower – Quality for Croatia’ (Turistički cvijet – Kvaliteta za Hrvatsku), reports Morski.hr on June 30, 2017.
This is the 21st year the contest is being organised, with an intention to honour the best economic operators in the tourism sector. As usual, nine categories are being assessed: hotels, hostels, DMC agencies, marinas, charter companies, restaurants, spa and wellness resorts, campsites, and family accommodation facilities.
Businesses that score the highest marks will be awarded at the ceremony set for October, part of the assembly of tourist professionals ‘Days of Croatian Tourism’ organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Croatian Chamber of Economy and the Croatian National Tourist Board.
The contest aims to improve the quality of the offer and services in tourism, in order to boost competitiveness in the tourism sector. The scoring proccess takes into account the financial and physical business indicators, with a strong accent on the quality of service.
Hotels, DMC agencies, hostels, marinas, charter companies, restaurants and wellness can apply here.
Applications for best camp businesses and family accommodation will be opened before the end of August.
