ZAGREB, February 1, 2018 – Following media reports on the engagement of consultants for the emergency administration of the Agrokor food and retail group, the Temporary Creditors’ Council discussed the matter on Wednesday and said they were focused on recovering as many of their claims as possible.
“The emergency administration at Agrokor is a legally regulated process led by competent authorities with clear powers from the relevant court, including judicial supervisory powers. Agrokor’s creditors have invested considerable funds in Agrokor and are, together with the emergency administrator and consultants engaged by Agrokor, focused on recovering as many of their claims as possible. In that regard, we appreciate the work of the emergency administration and the consultants without whom it would not be possible to do this work properly,” Agrokor said in a statement.
It added that their priority was to reach a settlement within the short time frame defined by the law.
Earlier in the day, Agrokor’s minority shareholders requested that the government-appointed extraordinary commissioner in Agrokor, Ante Ramljak, should resign.
