“Bau 2017” trade fair in Munich will include 19 Croatian exhibitors.
Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning announced on Sunday that 19 Croatian exhibitors would take part in the “Bau 2017” trade fair in Munich, which will be the largest participation ever of Croatian companies in the event, which is one of the largest trade fairs for architecture, construction materials, systems for commercial and residential buildings, and interior design of new and existing buildings in the world. This year the fair will bring together over 2,300 exhibitors from around the world.
“Bau 2017” will be held from 16 to 21 January in Munich in Germany, and it will be visited by Croatian Minister of Construction and Physical Planning Lovro Kuščević, who will in that way support Croatian exhibitors and also learn about innovations in the field of construction and architecture.
Among the 19 exhibitors from Croatia, there are some who will attend the fair for the very first time. Some of the more experienced exhibitors are Croatian Chamber of Economy, Domprojekt, Exportdrvo, Fon, Lokve, and Pan Parket.
The fair will include presentation of new materials, technologies and systems for commercial and residential construction and for interior design, both for new buildings and for the reconstruction and modernization of existing buildings. The fair will cover more than 180,000 square metres of exhibition space, and include a complete range of technologies in the international construction industry.
The participation of the record number of Croatian exhibitors demonstrates, according to the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning, that the crisis in the sector has ended and that the recovery has begun, adding that the construction industry is an important sector which contributes to the investment activities and the general revival of the economy. This assessment is supported by the fact that, from January to October 2016, there was a 22.6 percent increase in the number of building permits issued in Croatia compared to the same period of 2015.
There is also an investment momentum within the framework of the programme for energy upgrade of public buildings, public institutions from the education sector, apartment buildings, commercial buildings, and soon individual family houses as well.
