In addition to regular pension contributions, the company will pay more than 3,000 kuna in voluntary contributions to each employee.

As a sign of gratitude for the hard work and loyalty of its employees, IKEA Group will pay additional 108 million euros into a separate pension fund for its employees, it was announced by IKEA Croatia, reports Jutarnji List on December 4, 2016.

IKEA has a special employee loyalty programme called Tack, which the company uses to pay additional annual pension contributions to its employees, which in turn increases their future pensions. That is a way in which the company shares its profits with its employees.

Each employee of the global IKEA Group, including its subsidiary in Croatia, who works full-time and has been working for the company for five or more years, will be paid the same amount, regardless of the position within the company hierarchy or the amount of their salary. Workers who are employed part-time will receive an amount proportional to hours worked.

“Employees are the key to our success and only in cooperation with them we can achieve our vision of creating a better everyday life for the majority of people”, said the manager of the IKEA Zagreb department store Darija Kuljić, noting that the Tack programme was a way for the company to express its gratitude for their work and effort. “This year, for each employee in Croatia, we will pay 3,087 kuna in additional contribution for their future pensions”, said Kuljić.

Since the Tack programme was introduced three years ago, the company has paid a total of 413 million euros into the fund. The global fund includes all employees, and the funds are allocated depending on the total salaries and allowances in each country. In addition to the Tack programme, all employees of the Group are included in another programme which provided for bonuses for employees depending on their work performance. With the programme, each employee can receive about one extra salary a year.

IKEA Croatia also pointed out that, according to an independent survey of employee satisfaction conducted by the Moj Posao website, the company has been declared the third best employer among large companies in Croatia.
