ZAGREB, February 25, 2018 – Tourists visiting Croatia in self-organised trips accounted for two thirds (56 million) of the total number (86.2 million) of overnight stays registered in the country during 2017, and they also accounted for 64% (11.1 million) of the overall number of arrivals (17.4 million) last year, according to figures released by the national statistical office (DZS).
The number of tourists visiting Croatia in self-organised, individual trips, increased by 17.4% year-on-year.
In 2016, the arrivals of guests in self-organised trips accounted for 59% of all arrivals (16 million) and their overnight stays accounted for 63% of all overnight stays.
