Record 7.5 Million Passengers at Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar, Zagreb Airports in 2016

It has been a year like no other for the major airports of Zagreb and Dalmatia, reports ExYuAviation on January 11, 2017

And with new terminals due to open in Zagreb and Dubrovnik in early 2017, and with work starting in Split, is the future going to be even busier?

In numbers:

“Zagreb Airport handled a record 2.766.087 passengers in 2016, an increase of 6.9% year-on-year.

Split Airport welcomed over two million passengers in a single year for the first time. It handled 2.289.987 travellers in 2016, up 17.1%.

Dubrovnik Airport followed in the footsteps of its two busier counterparts and registered growth of 17.7% by handling 1.993.243 passengers.

Zadar Airport handled 520.924 passengers on 4.065 flights in 2016, an increase of 6.8% compared to the year before. It is the first time the airport has managed to welcome over half a million travellers in a single year.”
