After the debacle of SkyGreece last summer, direct flights from Canada to Croatia are once more back on.
It is turning into quite a flight day here at Total Croatia New on February 1, 2016, with our trip on the first seaplane flight from Split to Dubrovnik this morning, news of Croatia Airlines connecting Pula to Zurich, and finally the very welcome news for tourists and the diaspora in Canada that direct flights from Toronto to Zagreb will be available this summer, via Air Transat.
According to Elite Daily, the flights will take place from June 15 – October 15 this year, with an Airbus 330-200 carrying 345 passengers with a direct flight taking a little over 9 hours from Toronto.
TCN checked out the Air Transat website to see if it was possible to book a flight, with the result below – first flight on June 14 for a very reasonable CAN$918.47 return all inclusive (a little over 600 euro). With news that discussions are also ongoing for flights to Croatia from America, these are interesting times for Croatian tourism, as it seeks to increase its market share in the lucrative North American market.
