Fog Halts Ferry Traffic

Rarely seen fog in Zadar has halted ferry traffic this morning.

The fog has been causing traffic difficulties throughout the country since early morning, also affecting the ferry traffic near Zadar. Prizna-Žigljen and 431A Zadar-Preko ferry lines are not operating due to dense fog, reports eZadar on October 16, 2017. Other ferries and catamarans are operating according to the timetable.

The road traffic is also affected; due to the heavy fog, the visibility is reduced in the interior and in northern Dalmatia, as well as on the A1 motorway between Zagreb and Zadar 2 junction. Drivers are asked to keep the headlights on, adjust the driving speed and keep the safety distance between the vehicles.

UPDATE: The ferry from Zadar to Preko is operating again.
